Core Legacy Rules

  • Normal lifespan recommended.
  • No money cheats.
  • No skill potions.
  • No resurrecting Sims.
  • Heirs must follow the assigned traits, aspirations, career goals, and skill goals.
  • Gen 9 is the mechanical peak.
Global Modifiers (Optional)

1. Iron Persona Mode

Each heir must:

  • Keep the same 3 traits for life (no replacements).
  • Never use moodlet solvers or potion fixes.
  • Accept all negative reputation hits.

2. Financial Collapse

At one random life stage per heir:

  • Set household funds to §0.
  • Sell one major asset (car, rocket, vault, celebrity perk item).
  • You cannot use inheritance cheats.

3. Inherited Flaws

Each heir must inherit:

  • One negative trait from a parent.
  • One unfinished aspiration milestone from the previous generation (must complete it before starting their own).

4. Limited Lifespan

  • Play on Normal lifespan.
  • No age-up potions.
  • No life-extending rewards.

Arc Specific Modifiers (Optional)

Romance Turbulence (Gen 1, 6, 10)

  • First marriage must fail OR
  • First pregnancy must be unexpected.
  • At least one romantic relationship must end due to jealousy.

Public Scrutiny (Gen 2, 5)

  • If reputation drops into “Bad,” you cannot repair it for 1 full Sim week.
  • Paparazzi interactions must be accepted at least 50% of the time.

Isolation Protocol (Gen 3, 7)

  • No social events allowed for one entire life stage.
  • Heir cannot initiate social interactions for 24 in-game hours after returning from work.

Haunted Lineage (Gen 4)

  • One ghost must remain on the lot permanently.
  • If they become afraid, you cannot remove the fear immediately.
  • If they die emotionally, you must keep their urn on the home lot for the next generation.

(This one makes Gen 4 quietly brutal.)


Power & Control (Gen 9)

  • You cannot use friendly socials to resolve conflict — only neutral or mean until Adult stage.
  • If you lose §50,000, you must fire an employee or end a relationship.
Extreme Legacy Ending (Optional)

If by Generation 10 you:

  • Complete all arcs
  • Use at least 5 modifiers
  • Maintain a physical heirloom item from Gen 1

You unlock the “Starman Ascendant” Ending:

  • Throw a Gold-rated legacy gala.
  • Sell the family home OR pass it intact to a non-biological heir.
  • Screenshot the final family portrait as your album cover.

Heroes

Born with fire in their eyes, this heir believes in love and defiance. Bold yet tender, destined to inspire those around them, building the family’s foundation through romance, art, and courage. Every song they sing, and meal they cook, is a small rebellion against the ordinary.

Storytelling – The Dreamer (Rules):
1. The Great Love:
Max one friend at a time—focus on romance and intimate connections.
Have at least one public romantic moment (festival, park, wedding event, etc.).
Meet your future spouse as a Young Adult.
Achieve Soulmate status.

2. The Rebel Heart:
Only earn money as a musician.
Perform or publish at least 3 works publicly.
Defend a loved one during a negative social interaction.

3. Build the Foundation:
Own your first home (no apartments).
Host at least 3 social events rated Silver or higher.
Reach level 5 in Charisma.

4. “We Can Be Heroes”:
Maintain a close friendship outside your spouse.
Raise the next heir with high Positive Character Values (at least 2)
Die happily married.

5. Echo Rules (Optional)
Keep your wedding photo displayed permanently.
If your marriage ends in divorce or death before Elder, you may not remarry.

Life on Mars

Theatrical and enigmatic, this heir steps into the world like a living performance. They are both adored and misunderstood, constantly shaping a persona that captivates strangers but confuses friends. Glamour, drama, and spectacle follow them wherever they go.

Theme: Theatrical spectacle. Persona begins.

Traits: Erratic, Creative, Snob
Aspiration: Master Actor/Actress
Career: Actor

Storytelling – The Starlet (Rules):
1. The Persona:
Can only earn money from collectables, odd jobs, or freelance work until YA.
Enter the Acting career.
Gain at least 2 celebrity stars.
Create a distinct fashion identity (change outfits dramatically from Gen 1).
Collect rare objects, fossils, or space-themed items.
Must complete one collection.

2. The Illusion:
Have one staged/public romance and one secret romance.
Be caught in a reputation drop at least once.

3. The Spectacle:
Throw 3 lavish events.
Win at least one award.
Have at least one alien or supernatural child.

4. The Isolation:
Max Acting skill.
Have one estranged relationship (parent, sibling, or lover).

5. Echo Rule (Optional):
If you ever reach 4+ stars, you must keep at least one unresolved relationship at death.

Space Oddity

Drawn to the stars and to the quiet hum of machinery, this heir struggles to connect with others. Brilliant yet haunted, they navigate a universe of logic, science, and solitude — their relationships often sacrificed on the altar of ambition.

Live on the smallest available lot in the chosen world.

3. The Obsession:
Max Logic.
Complete Nerd Brain aspiration.

4. The Return:
Pass down one object (rocket part, chess table, telescope).
Have one emotional reconciliation before Elder.

5. Echo Rule (Optional):
You may only repair one broken relationship in your lifetime.
If single at Elder, you cannot move anyone into your household.

Ashes to Ashes

Burdened by the shadows of the past, this heir seeks meaning in reflection and redemption. Emotional yet methodical, they explore hidden truths, attempt to repair broken bonds, and confront the family’s mistakes with quiet courage.

Storytelling – The Haunted Soul (Rules):
1. The Ghost of the Past:
Live in a haunted lot (Paranormal).
Experience multiple paranormal events.
Befriend or confront a ghost.

2. The Fall:
Experience a major failure (career demotion, breakup, or bankruptcy).
Have a negative trait from gameplay.
Must have one failed relationship.
Must quit a career before L7.
Cannot replace objects (unless destroyed by fire), must repair

3. The Reckoning:
Complete the Medium skill.
Resolve one long-standing family grudge.
When heir becomes YA, remove 30% of household funds (symbolic “past catching up”).

4. The Redemption:
Restore the family home or rebuild from ruin.
Reach inner peace.

5. Echo Rule (Optional):
At least one family ghost must remain bound to the lot.

Bright, ambitious, and dazzling, this heir reaches for the spotlight. Fame and attention follow them like a halo, yet personal connections fray under the pressure of celebrity. They are the star the family has long awaited — but at a cost.

1. The Rise:
Reach 4–5 celebrity stars.
Max Charisma or Singing.
Throw a party once a week.

2. The Spotlight:
Have 3+ public appearances.
Gain at least one rival celebrity.
At least one child must have star potential, be pushed into the spotlight (does not need to be the heir)
Must have 3 Celebrity Friends (replacing 3 non-celebrity friends).
If Reputation or star drops, must donate §5,000.

3. The Sacrifice:
Neglect at least one relationship due to fame.

4. The Legacy:
Leave behind a physical legacy (record, vault, masterpiece).

5. Echo Rule (Optional):
If your reputation ever turns “Bad,” you must let it stay that way for at least one full Sim week.

Moonage Daydream

Bold, seductive, and unpredictable, this heir is the embodiment of chaos and charm. Love, music, and nightlife rule their life as they navigate temptation, scandal, and glamour — leaving a trail of captivated hearts in their wake.

Theme: Glam, chaos and ego.

Traits: Self-Absorbed, Romantic, Dance Machine.
Aspiration: Serial Romantic

1. The Temptation:
Have multiple romantic partners (before settling).

4. The Choice:
Choose stability or chaos before the adult stage.
If a Sim dies accidentally in this gen, you cannot plead.

5. Echo Rule (Optional):
If you choose chaos, you must carry one broken relationship into the next generation.

Sound and Vision

Quiet, focused, and intensely private, this heir channels energy into mastery of craft. Isolation and perfection drive their days, producing beauty and innovation in every stroke of brush or note of music, though they rarely let the world in.

Theme: Discipline and artistic isolation.

Host one gallery showing late in life.

If you die alone, one unfinished aspiration milestone must remain incomplete.

Changes

Cold, calculated, and ambitious, this heir rules with control and precision. Every decision is strategic — wealth, power, and reputation are carefully balanced. Secrets simmer beneath the surface, and relationships are tools rather than comforts. This is the generation that tests the family to its limits.

Theme: The Thin White Duke — obsession and control.

Across the 10 generations, you must unintentionally (or intentionally) fulfill all five of the following conditions:

The Broken Hero

Gen 1 must:

  • Divorce OR lose their spouse to death before Elder.
  • Keep their wedding photo somewhere on the lot until Gen 10.

The Fractured Star

Gen 2 OR Gen 5 must:

  • Reach 4+ celebrity stars.
  • End with a “Bad” reputation.
  • Have at least one estranged child.

The Exile

Gen 3 OR Gen 7 must:

  • Die alone (single household at death).
  • Leave behind an unfinished aspiration.

The Ghost That Stayed

Gen 4 must:

  • Keep at least one family ghost bound to the home lot.
  • Never fully cleanse the haunting.

The Duke Must Fall

Gen 9 must:

  • Reach peak wealth (§250k+).
  • Experience a public scandal.
  • Lose at least §100,000 before Elder.

If ALL FIVE occur…

The final heir unlocks a different path.
