If required, here is some guidance

  • Treat this as a guide to telling your stories
  • Don’t be afraid to switch out careers if you don’t have a pack or if you like to use mods, just stick to the theme
  • I’m not a fan of money cheats, but you a start in a wealthy family. How much of your §20,000 trust fund you want to start with is up to you.
  • This should not feel like a hard slog, there is no emphasis on completing of things.
  • Use whatever tools you need to tell your story, whether you have all the packs or not, use mods or not. This is a legacy.
  • Share with me on Twitter @Loukia13D or use the #simstreelegacy

Generation 1

You are an only child of a wealthy family. The perks of this are materialistic and you had everything. Except for what you needed. You missed out on what mattered most, your parent’s affection. Your mother never wanted children, blaming you for ruining her dreams. Your father wanted a child of the opposite gender and was promiscuous after your birth. You were an inconvenience.

You have a best friend since childhood and you do everything together. You spend more time at their home than your own. You were a cheer captain, Prom royalty and got involved in everything the school offered. Some of your ambition at that time was to gain some recognition from your parents.

As a YA, go into business with your mother. This was a bad idea and there are consequences. Leave the old life behind and move to another town to start over.

Your love life is chaotic. A co-worker, a friend, or a person secretly in love with your best friend. With all the bad choices in love you make, it is no wonder you reject your future spouse the first time around.

As a person, you have an unusual outlook on life, are very driven, and can motivate others into action. You have a thirst for knowledge. You strive for more, professionally, personally, and mentally. Your smile brightens a room.

Generation 2

You have always enjoyed puzzles, a game of chess, card games, and love arcade games. (If only there was more than one kind in the Sims 4).

When it comes to knowledge you are a jack of all trades. Levelling up on skills you enjoy including a strange fascination for mediumship. What you don’t enjoy is technology. You are confused by people’s reliance on computers and the digital world. Even as a child you hated having your photo taken.

One parent/Grandparent exploited your talent as a medium. Their shrewd business mind swindled people out of their hard-earned cash and pocketed it all. You make a vow to yourself to ensure you never use these skills for ill gain. Instead, you pursue a more honest living. You vow never to speak to this parent/Grandparent again.

As a result, it is hard to maintain a healthy and positive relationship with anyone. Instead, you become isolated until you meet your first spouse. Old habits are hard to break and they leave you when you break the promise to yourself.

Your second spouse comes into your life when you decide to make the ultimate change for your child. You enter the police force. This is a temporary gig and leads you to your true calling. This is as a Professor at the university.

You never drink coffee, as your secret pleasure is bubble tea. It is a secret kept by your children as once a week you indulge together.

As a person, you are philosophical (deep thinker). People often don’t understand you and see you as aloof. You are intelligent and influential.

Generation 3

The formality of family and school never suited you. In your eyes, your parents were strict and unyielding. As soon as you were able you left for a tiny home in a remote place. Despite being low on funds you travelled with friends. Camping out, or sleeping on benches or in stranger’s homes if they let you.

This group disbanded over the years and your attention turned to nature. You have always preferred your own company. Your discovery of Herbalism gave you the chance to go it alone. You earn money by selling these remedies either on a market stall or buying a small shop.

You still do not feel at home, like you have not yet discovered where you belong, and make another move. This can either be an abandoned home you need to do up or a home you build from scratch. Here feels like home although most of the neighbours are not as kind as you would like. It is here you will meet your spouse.

You maintain a reasonable relationship with your sibling, but nothing with your parents.

You are a shy, free-thinking artist with a fascination for nature. Like it, you are in a constant state of renewal, often changing up your look with the seasons. Since you grew up with limited access to technology, you don’t miss it and prefer to keep it too a minimum.

Generation 4

You did not believe in your parent’s magical ideology. You are a person of science. There is an explanation for everything. If it doesn’t you check the math and science to ensure you made no mistakes.

You remain skeptical about ghosts, magic, vampires, occults, and even aliens. That is until you have a fractured memory of an alien abduction and unexplainable weight gain. The result is an alien baby (cheat if needed). You use logic and reason to explain the hypothesis, but not even you can believe this.

You switch careers looking for answers outside of what science has to offer. You struggle to reconcile your lifelong skepticism with the new knowledge. It is where you meet your on/off partner. Their unwavering belief in the supernatural and extra-terrestrial often conflicts with your own.

This conflict puts your lives at risk on a mission at work. You and your partner flee, living off the grid. You rely on the skills your parents and grandparents taught you for survival. Here you have the first of two children you will have with your partner.

When you return to the world, you leave your job. You can return to either career. What’s better than presenting both sides of the debate?

You are a pathfinder, where you lead others will follow. You are charismatic and confident. Despite an aversion to marriage, you are romantic and generous with your heart.

Generation 5

Your parents were strict in your opinion. Trying to mould you into a version of themselves. As a teen you rebelled, resulting in teen pregnancy (or if no mods, straight after high school). This disappointed your parents, and didn’t they let you know it. They wanted you and the child’s other parent to marry. Neither of you felt this was a mature or realistic decision. You did take full responsibility for the child as the other parent was not ready or prepared.

You remain in your parent’s care, doing a part-time job until the baby is a toddler. You run away with your child to live in a tiny home and take a job in the culinary career. You make an effort to see your parents but only on major holidays.

This life continues until your child is in high school. You then return back to your home world and your parents insist on dinner as a family one night a week. They want to know their grandchild.

You meet someone special. You get engaged, but after getting cold feet you woohoo with someone else. You call off the wedding and go on your honeymoon with your child.

When you return, you rekindle the flame of your first love (child’s parent). You marry when a child graduates high school but it only lasts one week. Needing to get your life on track you buy a restaurant.

You have an amazing sense of humour. Your experiences in life have made you intuitive and sympathetic. You can see people’s hidden depths, and your parents gave you a realistic view of the universe.

Your relationship with your parent is great until you lose your virginity to an old flame. While it is clear they married someone else as a rebound for losing you, that does not excuse your cheating.

After university, you go travelling before starting a career in journalism. This is not your dream career, but you feel you need to continue working hard. After all your Grandparents did help pay for your education.

After a bad day at work, you decide to take the risk and make the move to social media. Your platform has been slow to grow, but you are ready to make the move and become an internet personality.

Your love life continues on its rocky path with a friend with benefits. You soon realize you are a relationship person and decide to move on. You date two people at once in separate locations. One is your future spouse. After marriage, although you are in love with your spouse, you do separate. Does this mean divorce or can you rekindle the flame that still burns?

You are secretive and often described as being mature beyond your age. You are both a good listener and good at giving speeches. You are also fun and passionate.

Generation 7

You have a profound regard for history, cultures and family. You see yourself as someone who can champion the underdog. You will stop at nothing to prevent relics of the past from falling into the wrong hands.

To do this you join the astronaut career to fund your trips to the jungle. Here you seek out a special relic. Rumour has it, this relic gives the possessor temporary god-like powers. It is here you meet a local, who by some miscommunication becomes your spouse.

You have to return to your life, but your try to remain faithful. You succumb to the ‘juiced’ effect and have two x one-night stands as a result. You return to visit whenever you can, unable to get them passage to your home world. They die soon after your child together is born. (The child must live or come to live with you.)

One of the relics you find holds the key to visiting another world. Sixam (or if you want Batuu). You build a rocket in your spare time determined to discover something new. In this new world, you will collect whatever you can find. Here you will meet your second spouse, another native to the planet. It is a love/hate relationship, with neither of you willing to admit your feelings for a long time. They are also a single parent.

Your use of these relics you claim to hold in high regard, results in your temporary death. Not once but twice. (can be as a skeleton).

You enjoy huge gatherings with friends and family. With the relics you discover, you create a private museum in your basement. (or build something off a lot and name it after you).

Have a close relationship with one parent but not the other or any siblings. You are goal orientated and it is rare you fail at whatever you set your mind to.

You attend Drama club throughout your child/teen years. Your first job is in politics, for which you have a natural flare. You later ditch this to pursue acting. Your career is slow to launch so you write to support yourself.

In this time you get married, but it is not exactly as you hoped it would be. You have fallen out of love, and while there is no bitterness, the relationship ends in divorce. Meanwhile, your career takes off like your parent’s rocket.

You meet your second spouse for a moment. So the relationship development was online (Social Bunny). Once the romance was blooming you met for the first date. There were definite sparks. Your future spouse is wealthy and famous. You have a comfortable amount of funds of your own. So to enjoy their life, you quit acting and enjoy the spoils of being wealthy. The one flaw in your perfect plan is you do not get along with the in-laws. After the wedding, the spouse chooses you over their family.

You can return to politics, charity branch. Or using the debate/podium stands in world/on lots, you can have your say. Or another use of your freedom and wealth is to volunteer. Writing and publishing videos are your other political platforms.

Generation 9

Being the offspring of two celebrities has its challenges. Your parents were jet-setting around the world. This meant they left you and your sibling with the nanny. When you were together you hated the limelight. It did not suit you. As a child, although your parents tried to protect you cameras had a way of finding you.

As a result, you were slow to discover your true self. You are shy, quiet, and spend a lot of time alone. As a friend you’re loyal. You love chess, having games in the park and community centres. You even develop your own club after High School.

The lack of identity outside your family means you change jobs every 1-2 weeks. You are intelligent and need to keep learning so settling on one career was never going to suit.

You have a terrible relationship with your sibling, but have a close group of friends that more than makeup for it.

Your first marriage was one of convivence for them as way of progressing in a career/life. You knew this and were never bitter when it came to its conclusion. You have lived apart for a long time and they wanted to marry someone new. It did mean you were less likely to want to get into another marriage for a long time.

You try a few different roles. It was a lover who saw your potential. The dreams you had kept hidden all these years. You never thought you had what it took to become a doctor. They made sure you achieved it.

Your love life looked to be quiet until your last week at High school. Things changed when two siblings transfer to your school. You find yourself torn between them. You have on/off relationships with both of them. Falling in and out of love. Being both friends and enemies. You think you love both in equal measure.

One appeals to your simple ideals of life, the one that thrives on beauty. They help you learn to love yourself.

The other challenges you and appeals to the unpredictable side. They push you whenever you struggle to make a decision. Try both choices (which is what you did with them).

This triggered a difficult relationship with your parents. How can you keep up to date with everything when you have no internet!

Out of High school, you decided to try your hand at being a musician. You had a few hits with your beautiful voice. This was a very pop idol time of your life. It led to your personal scandal. A photo people were paying thousands to get their hands on. You look back in embarrassment, desperate to forget it all.

Despite your initial need to take a hiatus. The time out of the limelight gave you a chance to regroup. You decided to own your scandal and not let it control you or the life you wanted. Instead, your love of drama/scandals grew with interest. While you are not making them, you are having a say. Your true calling was always going to be as a Lawyer.

Whilst your career is the focus for you. You know not to neglect other needs in your life. There are three main lovers and you date them by rotation. One of these is your future spouse.

Generation 13

Who could tie you down? You flit about, hungry for the next adrenaline fix. The closer you can be to the Grim Reaper, without succumbing to his checklist, the more alive you feel. Work is to feed your habit, with jobs lasting no more than a week.

You question everything. Asking your parents why at every opportunity. Why bedtime? Why curfew? Why are we pixels? What does it all mean? Connecting with your parents was difficult. One shared your curiosity, you were close and had a lot in common. The other found it annoying, but both wished you would accept things the way there are.

As you grew, your relationship with your parents was increasingly difficult. You turn to your sibling for support, as you will do for the rest of your life.

Your YA life is filled with adventure, snowboarding, mountain climbing and often living paycheck to paycheck. You are not looking to settle so relationships are short/a quick fling.

As you reach adulthood, you are offered the chance to change your life as a secret agent. Your life needs some spice and that’s exactly what you sign up for.

An on-off romance with a married co-worker was not your best move but how could you resist. So many missions together.
